Sagar Sethi, Senior Director, Commercial Banking, National Bank

Sagar is a skilled finance professional with more than 20 years of experience and a seasoned lender with strong financial analysis and credit structuring skills across multiple industries. He specializes in the origination of complex transactions (Senior/Sub/Mezz), negotiating, credit structuring, financial modelling, deal execution and portfolio management and has a strong track record with an emphasis on long-lasting partnerships both internally and externally.

Mohan Markandaier, Managing Partner, Good News Ventures

Mohan is the Managing Partner at Good News Ventures, a pre-seed and seed-stage Venture Capital firm based in Toronto and investing in high-growth technology companies across North America. Since 2017, Good News Ventures has invested in 50+ companies with a few early successful exits. He also mentors and advises start-ups through various incubators and accelerators. Mohan is a serial entrepreneur with multiple successful exits. He co-founded his first company, Pulse Voice, in the Telecom software space, which was later acquired by Enghouse. Prior to joining Good News Ventures, he was an active Angel investor.

Jasmin Ganie-Hobbs, Director, Tech Financing, BDC

As a Senior Technology Banker, Board Member, and Advisor, Jasmin brings to the table both in-depth financial and consulting expertise. She is an astute financial services executive who, for the past 18 years, has worked extensively with many of Canada’s best and brightest companies, especially those in emerging technology, innovation, and knowledge-based industries. Jasmin understands the power of leveraging the financial community and the technology ecosystem to build globally scalable Canadian companies.

Nikhil Rodye, Director, Channel Accounts, Easly

Nikhil has helped companies access non-dilutive cash flow through tax credit financing for nearly a decade. He’s also an active member of the Canadian venture capital community. Nikhil’s wealth of real-world experience helping Canadian companies get funded through both equity and debt makes him a valuable resource for securing working capital.

Gerry Fung, Partner, North Group

Gerry is a Professional Engineer, accountant, management consultant, angel investor, and an experienced business executive who has worked with Canadian technology companies since 2003. His current practice at North Group focuses on advising early-stage technology start-ups on how to leverage various government funding programs to fund growth.
